Botanica Britannica
An encyclopedic exploration of the magical worlds of flora and fungi brought to you by the SFArtsED Summer fashion students of 2020.

Swatch Botanica
Zooming in on a mushroom, flower or plant inevitably reveals little hidden worlds full of texture, line, shape, and form. How can these elements be translated into a pattern that would theoretically be transformed into textile yardage?

Wearable Plants
If this plant were human size or you were plant size how would you transform said flora into a fabulous garment?

Collections
For the summer of 2020 fashion students were asked to explore the wild worlds of fungi, mold, orchids, carnivorous plants and succulents. They researched a variety of species in each of the aforementioned categories, and then sketched, painted, created textile swatches and color stories based upon their findings.

About The Designers
A snapshot of each of the designers via self portraits, a single thought on what it is about fashion means to each designer and a haiku to finish.
